Yes, it's always good to talk about code requirements, complex inspection techniques and plans with other experienced inspectors. Knowing the right code requirements, acceptance criteria and how to apply it is what makes the inspector, but could we be and do more? A welding inspection professional is in a unique position to contribute. They are involved before, during and after the welding operation. That puts the inspector in a singular position to be the most effective contributor to company process improvement, elimination of nonconformance and cost reduction and avoidance. What is this Seminar? This unique session reviews some of the most important but misunderstood subject areas of welding inspection using AWS D1.1 and AWS D1.5 as a base. Participants are then shown specific tools borrowed from the quality field to make the results of inspection activities deliver more value to their clients and employers. The quality systems for fabricators by the American Welding Society (AWS) and the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) are used to further show how the welding quality professional can increase their value. Flexibility! more hours...less hours
Participants can attend three days or four days of each session. More
professional development hours can be added with quality projects based
on the participant's own company work and supervised remotely by an
Atema Instructor.
